Sagrada Família basilica is in the city of Barcelona in Spain. Antoni Gaudí, one of the pioneers of modern architecture, took over in 1883, but in 1926, he died under a tram and was left unfinished. The construction is still going on. It is also known as the “endless church” among the people. The reason why the architecture is not finished is still the difficulty of continuing construction with the help of the public and of resolving the complex architectural style of Gaudi. In 2026 the construction is planned to be final.
