Naive Art movement is defined as uneducated, amateur artists and their works. The naive artist depicts real objects with his own developed technique and style.
The concept of Naive Art, which is not exactly a movement in Turkey, has been known in the world since 1885 and many artists have produced works in this understanding. In Turkey, after 1960, the paintings by Hüseyin Yüce were discovered by chance, and the artist became the “First Naive Turkish Artist” with this aspect.
Hüseyin Yüce was engaged in animal husbandry in Kütahya. The painter, who mostly focuses on nature in his paintings, has depicted trees and plants in a pastoral language, using the colors he has determined. Hüseyin Yüce is among the first representatives of the naive art movement in Turkey.
